Climb

Two rubber tracks grip the stair edges while the powered seat levels itself, going up or down.

Come when called

Ask for it by voice and it drives to you, then follows a stair route surveyed during setup.

Fold and park

When no one is seated, it folds into its base and parks itself under a bed.

Planned design

These are design goals for the concept. They may change as development continues.

  • Two rubber tracks gripping three stair edges
  • Powered leveling seat with headrest, belt and footplate
  • Deployable supports for landings
  • Folds into the base, with a folded height target of about 9–10 in
  • Comes to you, follows a surveyed stair route and parks itself
  • Folds only when empty, with obstruction detection
  • Voice commands, armrest controls and a physical emergency stop
